One of the most important and eagerly anticipated dates in the womens skate calendar takes place at Europe’s biggest action sports and music festival, NASS. This year the Girlzilla Skate Comp (which remains a part of the World Cup Skate series) will take place on Saturday 7th July and is sponsored by Camp Rubicon and SkaterGirl International. This year the contest will be split into two events - an Open and a Pro comp.
All girls that compete in either event will receive a free riders ticket to the entire weekend festival – worth about £100 – so you can enjoy all the sport and music action – as well as the special athletes bar and chill out area – where you can get some free food and drink!
The Open event will be a jam format, whilst the Pro event will most likely consist of individual runs as well as a jam session.
To register for either comps, please drop an email to Danni (dgallacher@live.com). Please note that you must register beforehand in order to have your free ticket waiting for you – and everyone who registers must compete. If you get injured or can’t make the journey for any reason, then please let Danni know so that the ticket can be freed up for someone else – as they are limited.
Absolutely can not wait for this. Previous years have seen so many big name riders from across the UK, Europe and the World – and the level of riding in each years custom built skatepark has been phenomenal.
The prize purse this year will be over $1,500 and there will also be product too. Exact prize breakdown coming soon.
