You Skate Girl is a Swedish group that was founded in December 2006 to help get more girls into skateboarding. In order to encourage girls to try skating and increase the number of active girls within the skate culture, You Skate Girl has arranged skate sessions and skate camps around the country and have already helped thousands of girls to try out skateboarding. They were also the brains behind Sweden’s first skateboarding tour for girls – which also produced the first skate movie for girls.
You Skate Girl has grown and there are now two different groups – You Skate Girl Umeå and You Skate Girl Uppsala. They are both still open to anyone throughout the country.
They also offer workshops, skatepark openings, lectures and training for businesses.
